Proust season is here!

The Proust season of The Cosmic Library is now here, and like In Search of Lost Time, it’s partly about music.

For each episode, I revised The Cosmic Library’s theme song, and those five new versions of the theme are played mostly by a trumpeter who has only recently started learning how to play the trumpet. The Proustian goal here—or one Proustian goal here—is to make something that surprises even as it dwells upon certain patterns, certain phrases.
